HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 24, 2025) – A 48-year-old Holland man has been arraigned on charges stemming from a Nov. 15th shooting incident outside of a business establishment on Holland’s North Side.
Andrew Louis Harper was ordered held by 58th District Court Judge Juanita Bocanegra following a Monday hearing. He was arrested last Friday by Ottawa County Sheriffs deputies and members of the office’s Critical Response Team, and is charged with assault with intent to murder, felonious assault, felony firearm use, and being a four-time habitual offender.
The initial report had a 27-year-old Jenison man taken to Holland Hospital by the time deputies and other first responders arrived in the area of Douglas Avenue between Lakewood and River Avenues. Around 9 PM, an argument inside of an unnamed business spilled out into the parking lot outside, and several rounds of gunfire ensued. The victim was eventually treated at the hospital and released, and it was later learned that a 25-year-old Holland man was also wounded in the incident. He too has since recovered.
The case remains under investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
