ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 31, 2025) – It’s not a “going out of business” sale, but an institution in Zeeland is looking to clear out inventory before it goes away.
Starting on Saturday, and running through November 8th, the Howard Miller Company is holding a factory sale of its remaining inventory at its 860 E. Main St. facility. Officials say that all first-quality products of clocks, cabinets, carts and more will be deeply discounted, with seconds and scratch-and-dent items eligible for additional markdowns. All sales are cash-and-carry, with delivery available for an additional charge.
Howard Miller announced in July the end of operations next year after nearly a century, citing various factors. The Howard Miller Foundation will continue to fulfill its philanthropic mission, and efforts to collect artifacts for remembering the company’s legacy are already underway with the Zeeland Historical Society, whose executive director is Katelyn VerMerris.
VerMerris adds that a permanent display of Zeeland’s furniture heritage is planned for the Dekker Huis Museum in 2026.
