OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 24, 2025) – It’s a rivalry Saturday in state college football.
The Anchor-Bone Trophy will be contested in Big Rapids in the afternoon, as Grand Valley State clashes with Ferris State, while the Paul Bunyan Trophy goes to the winner of the evening battle in East Lansing between visiting Michigan and Michigan State.
Along those lines, the Ottawa County Community Action Agency is holding its first-ever Game Day for Good – Walking with Purpose, Cheering with Pride fundraising event on Saturday at 9 AM. All are invited to enjoy a scenic fall walk at Pigeon Creek County Park in West Olive (12524 Stanton St.), with light refreshments, fall colors, and more. Money raised will go towards efforts to support those in financial hardship, looking to achieve economic independence, with utility assistance, food support, home weatherization and more. Meanwhile, back on the gridiron, Peter Stuursma’s Hope Flying Dutchmen are in Adrian on Saturday to battle the Bulldogs.
The last full Saturday of MACtion before weeknight contests next month has Western Michigan at Miami of Ohio, Massachusetts at Central Michigan, and Ohio U. at Eastern Michigan.
