HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 22, 2025) – A timeframe for the grand opening of Holland’s newest attraction was disclosed on Tuesday.
City officials confirmed that Friday, November 14th will be the grand opening for the Holland Community Ice Park off of East 6th Street and College Avenue, with a 6 PM ribbon-cutting ceremony. Public skating sessions, along with curling sheet openings, will be available six days a week, with Mondays being maintenance days, from November 14th through March 15th, weather permitting, with all tickets only available in advance through the Holland Recreation web site.
Such tickets will go on sale next Tuesday, October 28th. Open skating ducats will go for $10 per person, which includes complementary skate rental. Separate curling reservations for up to 8 persons will also be available at $75 to $125 per session, depending on the date and time. Both public skating and curling sessions will be 90 minutes in length.
Work on the $11 million project, which is part of the Window on the Waterfront Park, began in April of last year, thanks in part to a $1 million seed donation by the late philanthropist Frank Kraai.
