CROCKERY, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 28, 2025) – For the second time in less than 24 hours, first responders were dispatched to a serious crash along Leonard Street near Nunica.
Following a Saturday morning single-motorcycle incident off of Leonard and 129th Avenue, which claimed the life of a 24-year-old Grand Haven man, a single-vehicle rollover matter involving a SUV occurred around 3:45 AM on Sunday, off of Leonard near Wren Drive, about three miles to the east. Investigators determed that the unnamed 24-year-old Coopersville man apparently lost control driving the westbound vehicle, which veered over the center line, went into a ditch, and rolled over into a field.
The motorist was thrown from the SUV, and was flown to Corewell-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids in serious condition. No other details as to the circumstances which led to the crash were immediately disclosed, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
