HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 24, 2025) – If members of the Holland City Council were students in a classroom, they would be going on a field trip on Wednesday evening.
The 6 PM biweekly study session will begin, as usual, in the second floor Training Room of Holland City Hall (270 S. River Ave.). After a public comment period, council members and staff will board MAX Transit buses for a tour of the Holland Community Ice Skating Park and other city projects.
What Mayor Nathan Bocks and his colleagues will see when they come to the area of East 6th Street and College Avenue is the makings of one of Holland’s newest attractions, set to formally open on November 14th.
Other projects that have been discussed by the governing panel over the past year include the building of a recreation center near Smallenburg Park, a Bike Park just east of the northern base of the Unity Bridge, and the moving of the historic greenhouse from Central Avenue and State Street to Centennial Park.
No business actions are expected by Holland City Council members during or after this tour.
