HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 19, 2025) – While the autumnal equinox comes on Monday afternoon, many in the Holland area are looking ahead to the unveiling of the Tulip City’s newest attraction later in the fall.
The grand opening of what is being called right now just the “Holland Community Ice Skating Park,” off of East 6th Street and College Avenue, is set for eight weeks from Friday, on the afternoon of November 14th. Mayor Nathan Bocks admits he’s chomping at the bit to see the first skaters hit the ice at the $11.3 million complex.
However, one just can’t come to the park and expect to start making figure-eights right away, as skating reservations will begin to be accepted during the first full week in October.
