DEARBORN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 9, 2025) – As the Lakeshore and the rest of Michigan settles in for the weekly routine for the upcoming fall and winter, gas prices are going down.
Triple-A’s daily canvassing of fueling stations across the state, as of Tuesday morning, showed a per-gallon average of $3.14. That’s a nickel under the national mean; 15 cents lower than a week ago, a dime less than last month, and nine cents under what was seen on marquees at this time in 2024. Rates ranged from $3.24 in Ann Arbor to $3.00 in Traverse City.
Adrienne Woodland with the Auto Club in Dearborn wasn’t surprised by this price trend.
Along the Lakeshore, Ottawa County’s average of $3.08 is three cents higher than neighboring Allegan County and a dime more than Kent County, but three pennies less than Muskegon County.
