Thea Kaetzel, age 59 of Holland passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Richard; her daughters and grandson, Angel Kaetzel, Jenna and Joshua Cadle, Mackenzie and Benjamin (Theodore) Bowman, her parents Tad and Marcia Schultheiss; her sister Marti Jane and Walter Jensen; her best friend and cousin Karrie and Jeremy Bernhardt, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Loren and Rosemary Kaetzel, her brother-in-law Eddie and Lisa Kaetzel, her exchange sister Katrin Paulun, and her five exchange daughters Marte Bakke, Leah Hussey, Marine Prz, Robyn Brown, and Clara Niccoli.
Thea was preceded in death by her grandson Wyatt Cadle.
Thea graduated from Troy-Athens High School in Troy, MI and Western Michigan University. She started dancing at the age of 2 at Shari Rarick School of Dance and continued dancing, teaching dance and owned Dance Central Dance Company for 18 years. Thea was a Rainbow Girl and a member of Eastern Star. She was a cheerleader in high school and was a member of the synchronized swimming team. Thea was an avid photographer and enjoyed making Christmas cookies.
Visitation will be 4-7 pm Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland. The funeral mass will be held at 10 am Friday, August 29, 2025, at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 171 West 13th Street, Holland. The graveside service will be held at 3 pm Friday August 29, 2025 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Litchfield, MI. Memorial contributions may be given to Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
