HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 27, 2025) – An effort to raise $2 million for renewing an assisted living campus is well underway.
Officials with Resthaven announced on Tuesday such a campaign to help support a $7 million “Renewing Our Legacy” project for an additional 24 resident rooms at its Maple Woods Cottages facility off of East 32nd Street. Over $1.5 million had already been garnered prior to this announcement.
The 17,100-foot expansion of the campus built more than seven decades ago is slated to come with full restrooms, modern amenities, and what campaign leaders say are “welcoming community spaces designed to meet the needs of today’s aging adults.” It’s the first phase of what Resthaven is calling a “repositioning” of the facility, with future plans to remove the adjacent City Hill Church, which the care provider purchased three years ago, and build a completely new Maple Woods campus.
