GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 16, 2025) – No injuries were reported after a fire broke out at an apartment complex south of Jenison late on Friday morning.
First responders were dispatched to the Brookmeadow Apartments off of 44th Street near Kenowa Avenue around 11:15 AM. They found a 30-vehicle garage fully engulfed in flames and smoke. While crews brought the blaze under control, keeping the fire from spreading into occupied units, residents were able to leave their dwellings without incident.
Extensive damage was caused to the parking structure and personal property within, although an initial dollar estimate wasn’t immediately determined, nor a cause of the incident, which remains under investigation.
