ROBINSON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 1, 2025) – A collision between two pickup trucks southeast of Grand Haven on Thursday night injured four persons.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Shane Ryke, first responders were dispatched around 9 PM to the intersection of Osborn Street and 104th Avenue. It appeared that a northbound pickup was going through the junction with the right-of-way when it slammed into a westbound pickup, which drove through a stop sign, sending both vehicles into a nearby field.
The three occupants of the westbound vehicle – a 23-year-old Allendale man behind the wheel, along with a 21-year-old Grand Haven man and a 22-year-old Ravenna man – all had to be extricated by rescue workers. The driver was flown to Corewell-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment, while the Ravenna man was taken to Trinity Health Muskegon; both of whom suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, while the other passenger had minor ailments. The other driver, a 70-year-old Grand Haven man, was sent to an undisclosed medical facility in serious condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
