HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 31, 2025) – In the wake of another successful Fiesta week earlier this month, the Lakeshore’s leading voice for its Latino community has a new leader.
On Wednesday, the board of Latin Americans United for Progress announced the appointment of Alejandra Guillen as the non-profit’s new Executive Director. She replaces Johnny Rodriguez, who stepped down in March to become a vice president with Workforce Employment Specialists, with Director of Workforce and Strategic Impact Maria Morales handling the operational duties in the interim.
A native of Mexico, Guillen comes to Holland from Davenport University, where she served as the director of marketing and recruitment at the school’s Casa Latina initiative, and she is also involved in various Latin American entities in the Grand Rapids area. A date-to-be-determined public welcoming event for her is being planned.
