HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 18, 2025) – The celebration of the Lakeshore’s Latin heritage, which has run for more than six decades, continues through this weekend.
Following a morning of youth activities during Wednesday’s biweekly Holland Farmers Market, and having an array of Latino community talent on hand during Thursday night’s weekly Downtown Street Performer Series, Latin Americans United for Progress continues the 61st Fiesta in taking over the weekly Friday evening Concert at the Park in the Kollen Park band shell, as Mariachi Universal and Ballet Folkloriko will step onto the stage. On Saturday, a full day of activities will be inside and outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place, with a car show at the Civic Center parking lots on Sunday.
LAUP Outreach and Engagement Specialist Yailin Ramirez says that Fiesta is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg as to what her non-profit organization is and does.
While Fiesta committee member Alexandra Darlin adds that this event is not just for the Lakeshore’s Latino community.
