OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 2, 2025) – There’s a new operational leader for Ottawa County Central Dispatch.
That entity’s policy board announced on Monday the appointment of Matt Groesser as the new Executive Director for the 911 services, effective on July 14th. He replaces Pete McWatters, who is retiring after five years at the post.
Grosser heads west from Kent County, where he spent 22 years in its communications center before four more years as its Emergency Management Coordinator. He replaced a retiring Lou Hunt in that role in 2020, and just as Hunt came out of retirement to become Ottawa County’s Emergency Management Director, Groesser comes out of retirement to join him.
A public reception for the new Central Dispatch Executive Director is planned at the Authority’s office (12101 Stanton St.) in West Olive on August 5th at 2:30 PM.
