OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 4, 2025) – The next step in the process of securing a new Ottawa County Administrator takes place on Wednesday morning.
During a 9 AM special closed door meeting at the County Administration Building (12220 Fillmore St.), District 1 Commissioner Jim Barry and his fellow Board members will huddle with retained consultant Mitch Foster of Double Haul Solutions to go over 30 qualified candidates for the full-time operational leadership position.
The first-term commissioner from Park Township believes that this is the most important hire that the board can make.
Another special 9 AM meeting is set for next Thursday, June 12th, to hold public interviews with the finalists for the administrator position. Ottawa County hasn’t had a full-time operational leader since John Gibbs was relieved of his duties on February 29th of last year.
