Larry Zwartenkot, age 73, of Jenison, passed away on May 31, 2025. Larry was born in Grand Rapids, MI on December 31, 1951, to Howard and Mary (Lemmen) Zwartenkot.
Larry was known for his infectious sense of humor, often making those around him laugh with gentle teasing, especially his kids. His passions included a love for cars, particularly Mustangs, as well as camping and fishing trips in Manistee. He also enjoyed woodworking and stained glass, showcasing his creativity and craft. His love for dogs brought a warm and playful spirit to his household.
Larry’s professional journey spanned several roles, including at Grand Rapids Wood Finishing Company, Bissell’s Printing Company, and ultimately in the produce department at Meijer.
Larry was a devoted family man, survived by his loving spouse and high school sweetheart, Elizabeth (Beth) Zwartenkot; children: Jennifer Feldt, Sharon Inscore, and David & Stacey Zwartenkot; grandchildren: Gabrieal, Michael, and Ashley Inscore, Aiden and Makayla Zwartenkot; siblings: Linda & Thomas Powrie, Lori & John VanderKolk, and Luanne & Jerry Parks.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday June 7, 2025 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland, MI 49464. Memorial contributions may be given to Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation.
