ZEELAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 28, 2025) – Two persons were hurt in a two-vehicle crash east of Holland on Wednesday afternoon.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Greg Rotman following the incident around 3:45 PM at the intersection of Adams Street and 96th Avenue. That was where a southbound vehicle, driven by a 72-year-old Zeeland man, collided head on with a northbound vehicle while attempting to make a left turn.
The man, who wasn’t buckled up, was pinned in his vehicle and had to be extricated by rescue workers. He was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The other motorist, a 27-year-old Holland woman, suffered minor ailments and sought her own treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
