ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 23, 2025) – A 56-year-old Martin man has been charged in the death of an eight-month-old baby girl, stemming from a crash late last month on Baseline Road between Allegan and Gobles.

On Thursday, Terry Lee Boss was arraigned on counts of second-degree murder, operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, and reckless driving causing death. It involves an April 26th incident in which his westbound truck crossed the centerline near Hillside Drive, east of M-40, and sideswiped an eastbound truck. Boss’ vehicle then lost control, overturned, hit several people that were away from the roadway, struck a tree, and finally came to rest in a shallow portion of Baseline Lake.
Killed in the incident was Lucia Iris Seifried, while several others, including Boss, were hospitalized. Boss is free on $500,000 bond pending a probable cause hearing next Thursday.
