Lila Bouwens 96, of Zeeland, went home to the loving arms of Jesus on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2025.
She is survived by her sons, Joel (Marianne) Bouwens, John (Holly) Bouwens, Jim (Patti) Bouwens; 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Mary Bouwens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; parents, Howard and Jennie Myaard; brother, Howard Myaard, sister Ruth Walters, and special friend Don (Bud) Pyle.
Lila showed God’s love to all with her kindness and tender words. She loved her family and friends deeply. She will be greatly missed for her grace, kind presence and loving support.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. The funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, May 19, 2025, at Second Reformed Church, 225 East Central Avenue, Zeeland. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery.
