HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 12, 2025) – The 96th Tulip Time Festival is now history, and the renewal of Holland’s annual signature event may have reached new heights.
Any official numbers as to how many thousands flocked to the Tulip City between May 2nd and the 11th won’t be made available until later this summer, but to veteran observers such as Holland Mayor Nathan Bocks, the virtual buzz about the festival is a good indication of a record attendance.
As for the star of the show, Bocks, who has been around 40 such festivals in his lifetime, feels as if the tulip never looked better.
Venues such as the Tulip Plantings at Window on the Waterfront Park, Windmill Island Gardens, and Centennial Park still had crowds on Mother’s Day Sunday, the final day of the event. As for the flowers themselves, the annual Tulip Dig at those venues, to benefit the Holland in Bloom urban horticultural awareness effort, is set for Saturday, May 31st.
