JAMESTOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 10, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash southeast of Zeeland on Saturday evening led to serious injuries for two persons involved.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Michael Tamminga, who was among a number of first responders dispatched to the intersection of Adams Street and 40th Avenue around 5:45 PM. That was where a northbound sedan, driven by a 17-year-old Jenison man, apparently drove through a stop sign and into a westbound Jeep, driven by a 31-year-old Grand Rapids woman. The force of the collision caused the Jeep to roll over several times.
The woman, along with a 67-year-old Oxford, Connecticut man who was a passenger in her vehicle, were taken by LIFE Ambulance to an undisclosed “local hospital” for treatment. A 37-year-old man in the Jeep, also from Connecticut, as well as the teen driving the sedan, were not hurt.
Tamminga added that neither alcohol nor drugs is suspected to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
