ALPINE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 30, 2025) – A 65-year-old Coopersville woman lost her life, while three others were hospitalized, following a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon in northwest Kent County.
No names were disclosed by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office following the incident shortly before 4 PM at the intersection of Six Mile Road and Bristol Avenue. The woman was in the back seat of an eastbound sedan that was struck by a SUV that was attempting to turn east. The force of the collision caused the SUV to roll over, while the sedan went into a nearby field.
The Coopersville woman was airlifted to Corewell-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, where she expired from her injuries. Two others in the sedan were also hospitalized, one of them initially listed in critical condition, while the SUV driver, a 55-year-old Comstock Park man, was also hospitalized.
The incident remains under investigation.
