HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 29, 2025) – The early birds have already gotten the worm in the Holland area when it comes to seeing the star of the annual signature event.
Visitors from around the region have flocked to the Tulip City to look at the tulip plantings at Windmill Island Gardens, Window on the Waterfront and Centennial parks, downtown Holland, and along the Tulip Lanes, all ahead of the 96th Tulip Time Festival that begins on Friday. They’ve come to the Lakeshore, for the most part, by motor vehicles and motor coach buses, but some have sailed in to Lake Macatawa, or perhaps pedaled their way on bicycles.
West Michigan Regional Airport is also getting in on the fun, according to its Interim Manager Jim Storey, with a Tulip Time Fly In this coming Saturday from 9 AM to 12 Noon.
It kicks off the busiest time of the year for what used to be known as Tulip City Airport.
There will be refreshments at the West Michigan Regional Airport’s business center for visitors who fly in, as well as for those who wish to see the planes land and take off.
