HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 25, 2025) – Law enforcement entities, as well as medical professionals, would like for you to get rid of your leftover drugs.
From 10 AM to 2 PM local time on Saturday, National Prescription Drug Take Back Day returns, where the US Drug Enforcement Agency sponsors sites across the country for disposal of unused prescription drugs. It’s the 28th renewal, in its 15th year, of this semi-annual effort to prevent misuse of such controlled substances directly or through improper disposal, with over 96 hundred total tons collected.
While collection sites for National Drug Take Back Day will be open between 10 AM and 2 PM, many agencies, medical facilities and pharmacies have proper disposal containers accessible year-round. An online link to more information, including where collections sites will be set up, is here.
