LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 22, 2025) – As one Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame member from the Lakeshore steps away from the sideline, another will be stepping up this fall.
On Monday, the organization devoted to promotion of high school football in the state announced its 14-member 2025 Hall of Fame Class. Among those who will be honored at an induction ceremony in suburban Detroit on June 20th is Saugatuck High Head Coach Bill Dunn.
He has guided the Indians/Trailblazers to 140 wins in 222 games over 22 seasons, including undefeated regular seasons in 2015 and 2016, and state championship tournament game appearances in 2010 and 2017.
In January, MHSFCA Hall of Fame Coach John Shillito announced his retirement as Zeeland West High’s mentor after five state championships.
Dunn will be joined by Mike Berutti of West Iron County, Richard Corser of Jackson Lumen Christi, Don Galster of Kelloggsville, David Hills of Boyne City, Jason McIntyre of Mt. Pleasant, Greg Morrison of Jonesville, Tim Parker of Oakridge, David Rickard of Hudson, Glen Samson of Mendon, Jim Sparks of Novi, Les Therrian of St. Ignace LaSalle, Bernard Thomas of Dowagiac, and Walker Zaban of Dearborn Fordson.
