HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 21, 2025) – Holland Public School students, as well as the Holland community, will get a chance to learn history first hand over the next three weeks.
On Sunday, the final touches were put on a “Community of Courage” exhibit spotlighting the saga of World War II figure Anne Frank. Through May 7th, students from all of the district’s schools will be able to look at panels with photographs and writings which connect her life story with the present. The exhibit is from the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, Netherlands, through the Anne Frank Center at the University of South Carolina.
Organizers want visitors to consider how prejudice can lead to exclusion and discrimination, a lesson that spans generations, according to Superintendent Nick Cassidy.
Audio PlayerWhile students will be touring the exhibit over the next two weeks, the public will also have the opportunity to view the panels at Holland High’s Media Center (320 W. 24th St.), beginning with a fundraising dinner for the Holland Educational Foundation on Tuesday at 6 PM.
