ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 11, 2025) – Grand Valley State University has taken the “interim” off of Dr. Jennifer Drake’s title.
On Friday, the Allendale-based school of higher education announced that Drake is its new Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. She has been handling those duties since August, when Fatma Mili resigned for personal reasons.
“I am honored to be able to serve as Grand Valley’s next provost, and to continue working in partnership with President (Philomena) Mantella, the senior leadership team, the provost’s cabinet team, and our amazing faculty, staff and students. Together we are ready to build Grand Valley’s future on our strong foundation.” – Dr. Jennifer Drake.
Drake had held a similar provost position with Evergreen State College in the Washington state capitol of Olympia before coming to GVSU as Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences five years ago. She has also served as a professor and dean at the University of Indianapolis.
