ZEELAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 8, 2025) โ Two persons escaped injury after the single-engine airplane they were in flipped over at a small airport east of Zeeland on Tuesday morning.
First responders were dispatched to the Ottawa Executive Airport off of Byron Road shortly before 9 AM. They encountered the Cessna 180 craft upside down just off the shoulder of the runway, with the two unnamed occupants able to get out of the cockpit on their own, apparently without harm. It was determined that the plane had encountered difficulties during landing, ending up with its wheels skyward.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate this matter further, as is standard procedure whenever an aircraft crashes.
