PORT SHELDON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 5, 2025) โ An elderly couple from Zeeland, along with a 32-year-old Wyoming man, were hospitalized after a late Saturday afternoon crash in Port Sheldon.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriffโs Sergeant Cassie Tolman following the 4:50 PM incident at the intersection of Stanton Street and 146th Avenue. It appeared that the northbound truck driven by the younger man blew through a stop sign and into a westbound pickup driven by a 73-year-old man, with his 75-year-old wife as a passenger. The younger man was thrown from his vehicle, while rescue crews had to extricate the couple from their truck.
All three were transported via AMR ambulance to unnamed โarea hospitalsโ for treatment of their injuries, with no immediate word as to their condition. The incident remains under investigation.
