PARK TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 4, 2025) – Matt Stolz will not have the interim removed from his title, but he will remove himself instead from Zeeland Public Schools.
A day after that district’s board announced that a search firm will be retained to help in the search for a new superintendent, West Ottawa Public Schools disclosed on Thursday that Stolz will join its district on April 28th as its new Associate Superintendent of Human Resources and Wellness. He will replace Jens Milobinski, who is retiring after 29 years with the district.
Stolz has been the interim superintendent in Zeeland since October, when Dr. Brandi-Lyn Mendham took a medical leave of absence for undisclosed health reasons. He had been the district’s Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum since 2021, and has spent more than two decades in education with both the Zeeland and Hamilton Community school districts.
Wednesday’s announcement by the Zeeland Board indicated that Mendham would not be returning to her leadership post, and no timeline for when a new superintendent would be named has been disclosed.
