HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 2, 2025) โ Addressing a need at Van Raalte Farm spotlights Wednesday eveningโs biweekly Holland City Council business meeting.
The Tulip Cityโs governing panel is asked to approve a $160,000 expenditure to build a new pedestrian bridge over the north branch of the Macatawa River. This would replace a previous bridge that was washed out by high waters, and would span the entire bank, similar to a bridge further south in that same trail system. The city will also install additional boardwalk in order to meet state authorization for the project.
If approved, Sinclair Recreation would be retained to install the new bridge late this summer or early this coming fall.
The 6 PM business session for the Holland City Council is in Chambers at Holland city Hall (270 S. River Ave.). An online link to the agenda and supporting documents is here.
