DEARBORN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 1, 2025) – The roller coaster that is gas prices in Michigan is heading back up, and on this first day of April, it’s not a fool’s joke.
Tuesday morning’s statewide average, as compiled by Triple A of Michigan, stands at $3.26 a gallon. That’s up 16 cents from yesterday, 11 cents from a week ago, and nearly three dimes more than at the beginning of March. It’s still 36 cents below what motorists were paying at this time in 2024.
Adrienne Woodland with the Auto Club in Dearborn keeps track of such fuel trends.
Along the Lakeshore, gasoline is running at $3.31 a gallon on average in Ottawa County, six cents below that of Allegan County, a penny less than Kent County, and a penny more than Muskegon County.
