Peter Adrian Terpstra, age 95, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Peter was a charter member of Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church and served as a deacon and elder over the years. He was employed by General Electric for 31 years prior to his retirement. He was a volunteer for Bibles for Mexico and World Renew. He enjoyed fishing, golf, playing pool, and camping with his wife, Ruth. He and Ruth traveled to all 50 states, as well as Europe, and China. He found great reward in helping those in need particularly with home repair. He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Ruth (Blauwkamp)Terpstra; and his 7 brothers, 3 sisters, and their spouses.
He is survived by his sons, Ken (Mary) Terpstra, Jim (Kathy) Terpstra, Dan (Kathy) Terpstra; grandchildren: Wendie (Jeremy) Freriks, Nick (Sarah) Terpstra, Kylie (Jeff) Leeuw, Ryan (Amanda) Terpstra, Emily (Tom) Bierma, Sean (Mary Miller) Terpstra, Nathan (Emilie) Terpstra; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Harmelink, and Ruth (Vugteveen) Terpstra; and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation with the family is 4:00 – 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland, MI 49464.
Funeral services are planned for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church, 836 East 8th St. Holland, MI 49423.
Burial to take place in Restlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Peter’s honor may be given to Oceans Ministry, Zeeland Christian Schools, or Holland Christian Schools.
