ALLENDALE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 27, 2025) – Somebody was hungry in the Allendale area overnight, and it wasn’t necessarily for food.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the area of Lake Michigan Drive (M-45) and 48th Avenue around 1 AM on Thursday, after an alarm was triggered at the Peppino’s Pizzeria and Sports Grille. Not only did they find signs of forced entry there, but also at the nearby Jet’s Pizza and Dairy Queen eateries.
All three of the establishments had been closed at the time, with no employees or patrons inside. Video evidence indicated that the same man, working alone, entered the building and pried open cash registers, taking an undisclosed amount of cash. The effort of a canine from the Wyoming Police Department to track down the suspect was unsuccessful.
