OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 21, 2025) – A long-time educational leader along the Lakeshore is stepping down.
On Wednesday, the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District’s Board of Education accepted the resignation of its treasurer, Carol Slagh, effective on March 31st. The wife of current state House Representative Brad Slagh had been on the panel that oversees public school districts throughout the county for 21 years, including 10 years as its president.
Applications for those wishing to fill the vacancy until the next board election this June have until Thursday, March 27, to submit a letter of interest to Dr. Kyle Mayer, the OAISD superintendent. The board will then take up the matter at its next meeting on April 16th.
