
Two Hope College menโs hockey standouts have been chosen for the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 All-Athletic Teams for the first time.
Junior defenseman Austin Ieuter and junior center Jake Onstott are among six first-team selections for the 2024-25 season and 12 honorees overall.
Ieuter (Midland, Michigan / H.H. Dow HS) and Onstott (Zeeland, Michigan / Grand Rapids Catholic Central) are the Flying Dutchmenโs fifth set teammates to claim first-team accolades in the same season.
They follow:
- 2021-22, Gabe Gunneson and Maclane Schick;
- 2011-12, Chris Kunnen and Dave Nowicki;
- 2010-11, Chris Kunnen and Dave Nowicki; and,
- 2006-07, Brian Gatliff and Jeff Guy.
Both Ieuter and Onstott have been catalysts for the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference Vezina Cup and MCHC West Division champion Flying Dutchmen.
Hope brings a 31-3-1 record into next weekโs ACHA Division 3 Championships in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ieuter recorded career-highs with nine goals and 35 assists in 35 games this season. The MCHC All-Star and Dream Team selection has scored five power-play goals.
Onstott has scored 30 goals and 50 assists in 35 games this season. The MCHC Most Valuable Player, Dream Team member and All-Star has netted six power-play goals and three shorthanded ones.
