Hope Collegeโs Liam Danitz felt right at home with the nationโs best sprinters.
The junior from West Branch, Michigan (Ogemaw Heights HS) made history as the first sprinter in program history to claim All-America accolades at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Rochester, New York.
A first-team nationals qualifier, Danitz finished fifth after clocking a time of 21.93 seconds during the finals at Nazareth University.
Danitz is the first Hope sprinter to claim All-America honors since the 2016 outdoor 4ร100 relay of Dion Goliday, Boone Marois, Matt Pelyhes and Justin Freeman.
The University of Wisconsin-LaCrosseโs Sam Blaskowski won the national title with a run of 21.26 seconds.
