PARK TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 11, 2025) – There won’t be a community building in the near future for Park Township.
The supervisor for that Lakeshore community, Steve Spoelhof, posted on the township’s website the decision to “pause” the RFP process due to a variety of economic reasons, including a tighter budget than in recent years, and not “fully testing” voter support for approving a “substantial” millage to construct a large building and supporting complex.
Instead, Spoelhof said that the township will be focusing more on services and amenities, and will be hiring its first parks and recreation director during 2025. He made no reference as to if or when the community building process would resume.
