HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 6, 2025) – The name for an annual effort to support families in need might be somewhat of a misnomer.
The 36th Walk for Warmth, hosted by the Ottawa County Community Action Agency, is set for Friday evening. Beginning at 6 PM from the EV Construction offices across from Window on the Waterfront Park in Holland (86 E. 6th St.), individuals and families will take a two-mile stroll through the downtown area, raising funds to help financially-qualifying families get a one-time emergency payment for utility needs.
While “warmth” may not apply soon, as winter winds down, the need doesn’t, according to Action Agency Program Director Jennifer Brozowski.
With a goal of raising more than $20,000 to assist at least 100 households in need, the Walk for Warmth includes more than just a walk, and is free to attend. An online link to more information on this event is here.
