GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 1, 2025) – It wasn’t a life sentence, but for Greg Joseph DuJardine, it might as well have been on Friday.
The 60-year-old Muskegon man stood mute as 20th Circuit Court Judge Jon Hulsing handed down a prison term of between 25 and 75 years following a January conviction of second-degree criminal sexual conduct causing injury, as well as being a fourth-time habitual offender.
DuJardine had been out on parole since the start of 2024, serving 34 years of a life sentence for previous, similar convictions, when his SUV had struck the vehicle of an unnamed 24-year-old Grand Haven woman near US-31 and Lake Michigan Drive on September 8th. The two vehicles traveled southbound until stopping at a fueling station off of US-31 and Stanton Street, when the drivers stepped out of the vehicle, and DuJardine allegedly touched the victim “inappropriately” during a physical assault. The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries, while the suspect, who drove off before deputies arrived, was arrested the next day at his home.
The second-degree CSC charge carried a 15-year prison sentence, based on state law, but DuJardine could have been sentenced to life behind bars on the habitual offender count.
