Patricia Joy (Sandy) Breuker
September 8, 1941 – February 26, 2025
With hearts full of sorrow, yet anchored in the hope of Christ, we announce the passing of Patricia Joy (Sandy) Breuker, who entered into the presence of her Savior on February 26, 2025, at the age of 83.
Pat’s life was a testimony of unwavering faith, tireless devotion, and selfless love. She was a founding member and Elder of Ridge Point Community Church in Holland, MI, where she poured her heart into serving the Lord and His people. Her faith was the guiding force of her life, shaping the way she loved, worked, and cared for those around her.
A woman of great strength and dedication, Pat was known for her tireless work ethic. Prior to her retirement, Pat was co-owner of Booksellers on Main Street in downtown Holland, where she was able to instill her love for books and reading to others. She had a deep commitment to her many friends, several of whom she has had since childhood and those relationships that grew during her life. She found immense joy in caring for those she loved, always putting others before herself. Whether it was through a warm meal, a word of encouragement, or steadfast prayers, she demonstrated Christ’s love in every aspect of her life.
Pat is predeceased by her devoted Husband, Gordon Wayne Breuker, and her parents and in-laws. She is lovingly survived by her children, Douglas Breuker, Matthew and Lori Breuker, and Mary Ellen and Paul Herdegen; her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Eric Mbajika (Adriel), Alex Breuker, Nicholas and Hannah Breuker (River and Emberly), Abbigail Breuker and Jacob Pickett, Kathryn Gohlke, Miranda Gohlke, Jakob Gohlke, Lilia Herdegen, and Gabe Herdegen. She is also survived by her dear sister, Betty Van Houten; in-laws, Gayle and Donald Sommerfield, Pat (Sandy) Smith; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Though we grieve her absence, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, whom Pat loved and served so faithfully. Her legacy of JOY, faith, kindness, and devotion will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched.
Visitation will be Friday, February 28, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Ridge Point Community Church, 340 104th Ave., Holland, with Rev. Kevin Pike officiating. Interment will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
