HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 20, 2025) – Three persons are free on bond following arraignment on charges stemming from a Sunday evening incident involving a weapon and an assault north of Holland.
On Tuesday, 58th District Court Judge Brad Knoll held arraignment hearings on 40-year-old Eduardo Miranda-Centeno, 31-year-old Cein Velazquez-Rodriguez, and 20-year-old Emmanuel Morales-Chavez, all of West Olive. Miranda-Centeno posted a $10,000 bond on three counts of resisting and obstructing a police officer; Velazquez-Rodriguez a $5,000 bond on two similar counts; and Morales-Chavez a $10,000 bond on counts of felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon, and brandishing a firearm in public. A fourth suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was not identified due to his age, and he is going through the Ottawa County’s juvenile justice system.
The four allegedly threated a 48-year-old employee at a store off of North Park Drive near James Street by brandishing a weapon when approached by the victim due to their behavior in the establishment. They left without further incident, and were apprehended a short time later, with one attempting to flee on foot, and another scuffling with deputies.
