It is with great sorrow to announce that Mark Thomas Gee passed away on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 at the age of 77.
Mark was an avid fisherman, hunter, and long distance runner. He cherished time in Northern Michigan fishing with his brother, Rick, his nephews, and cousin. Mark ran multiple marathons and countless other races, with Karen and their three girls always there cheering him on.
After working at Magna/Donnelly for nearly 40 years, Mark enjoyed spending his retirement with his wife Karen. They often could be found at Holland’s State Park; Mark fishing the channel and Karen reading a book. Mark also was a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions and theTigers, sharing his love for both sports with his family and friends.
A devout Catholic, Mark became involved in the Knights of Columbus in 2017. Through this brotherhood of Catholic men, Mark participated in many charitable activities and volunteered in his community. He became the membership director in 2019 and received honors for his efforts in bringing more men into the organization.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Karen, of fifty-four years, as well as his daughters Michelle Marko, Kristin Bruins, and Laura Kiel. Mark and Karen are blessed to have eight grandchildren; Katarina, Dylan, Alex, Ben, Nick, Kira, Rook, and Issac. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Phyllis Gee, his sister, Carol Gee, and his brother Rick Gee.
