CROCKERY TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 3, 2025) – A 24-year-old Greenville woman is expected to recover from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash around dawn on Monday near Nunica.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Wildfong as he and other first responders were dispatched to the junction of M-231 and Cleveland Street (M-104) just before 6:30 AM. That was where an eastbound compact vehicle was going through the intersection on a green light and was struck by a westbound pickup truck that tried to turn left ahead of the smaller sedan.
The woman driving the compact car was pinned inside and had to be extricated by rescue workers. She was taken to an unnamed hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The pickup driver, a 50-year-old Pierson man, was unhurt, but was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
The incident remains under investigation.
