Hope split a pair of basketball games on Saturday afternoon. Thanks in part to 17 points from Drew Moore, Trine toppled the visiting Flying Dutchmen in Angola, 77-54. At DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland, Jada Garner’s 11 points led the Flying Dutch past visiting Olivet, 82-50. Hope’s teams are at Albion this coming Wednesday evening, with broadcast time for the men’s game at 7:30 PM on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van.
Grand Valley State swept a basketball doubleheader from visiting Purdue Northwest at the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale on Saturday afternoon. MacKenzie Bisballe came off the bench to tally 18 points as six Lakers scored in double figures while capturing the women’s opener, 106-47. Behind 18 points from Trevor Smith Jr., the men topped the Pride in the nightcap, 83-64. GVSU’s teams are in Marquette to clash with Northern Michigan this coming Thursday evening.
