HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 22, 2025) – Another step in the city of Holland’s process for formulating a Fiscal 2026 municipal budget is taken on Wednesday evening.
City Council members will be huddling with City Manager Keith Van Beek and his staff in a study session that will spotlight department video presentations for consideration. It replaces in-person reports done on the evening before the governing panel sits down for a priority-setting session, which had been done in the past, and may not have been the most efficient way to get these department heads’ wish list before these elected leaders.
These videos will be posted on city’s website as well as on the city’s YouTube channel. The Holland City Council’s study session begins at 6 PM in the second floor Training Center at Holland City Hall (270 S. River Ave.).
Council’s Budget Retreat Session is this coming Saturday, January 25th, at 8 AM at the new Waverly Fire Station (761 S. Waverly Rd.). Per city charter, the governing panel is to approve a new spending plan on the May 14th business meeting.
