OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 21, 2025) – Another popular public outreach program offered by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is coming up.
Two Financial Scams Seminars are slated for the next week and a half, as Detective Joe Monger will be leading the discussion about how to recognize and avoid falling victim to various fraudulent schemes. Sheriff Eric DeBoer explained one familiar tactic.
No registration is required for the free sessions at the Georgetown Township Hall (1515 Baldwin St.) on Thursday, January 23rd at 12:30 PM, or at the Four Points Center in Grand Haven (1051 S. Beacon Blvd.) next Thursday, January 30th, at 10 AM.
Meanwhile, there are three open spots left in the free but limited-space Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events class, set for next Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM, at the County Administration Building in West Olive (12220 Fillmore St.). A link to register is here.
