Hope basketball split a pair of games on Saturday afternoon. At DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland, Parker Hovey and Marcus Wourman each tallied 14 points as the Flying Dutchmen soared over visiting Alma, 95-46. In Angola, Sidney Wagner scored 21 points with 10 rebounds as Trine’s women prevailed over the visiting Flying Dutch, 76-66. The Orange and Blue have a doubleheader in Kalamazoo on Wednesday evening, with broadcast time for the Flying Dutchmen’s clash with the Hornets around 7 PM on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van.
Grand Valley State split a pair of games with Lake Superior State in Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday evening. Paige Vanstee came off of the bench to toss in 14 points and grab 10 rebounds as the GVSU Lakers won the women’s opener, 104-48. Behind 19 points from Tyson Edmonson, the Soo Lakers captured the men’s nightcap, 87-78. GVSU’s teams are in Caledonia for a twin bill against host Davenport on Thursday evening.
