OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 10, 2025) – The identity of a 72-year-old Holland woman whose body was pulled from the waters of Lake Macatawa last Thursday morning was disclosed on Friday.
It was Janice Marie Graham who died on January 2nd, after the discovery of her body by people in the area of Ottawa Beach Road east of the Ottawa Beach Marina on Holland’s North Side around 9 AM. Once rescue crews reached the scene and pulled the body out of the water, the victim was apparently beyond medical help.
Although an autopsy has been conducted by the Ottawa County Medical Examiner’s Office, a cause of Ms. Graham’s death won’t be disclosed until results of toxicology tests have been returned. At this point, sheriff’s detectives are not suspecting foul play as to what led to the woman being at the scene, and it hasn’t been revealed as to how long she may have been the waters before the discovery was made.
The matter remains under investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
